Born in Vietnam and rooted in China, Luan Quach's artistic journey began at the age of nine, under the tutelage of five distinct teachers over the course of a decade.  Each mentor shared their unique styles and mediums, laying the groundwork for his multifaceted approach to art. Luan moved to Canada in 1979 and pursued an engineering career in the automotive industry, honing his left-brain analytical skills. Simultaneously, his early exposure to art fostered his right-brain creativity. This unique combination of skills produces works that are both meticulously detailed and profoundly imaginative.

Luan found his niche by blending classical portraiture techniques with watercolors, a rare combination. While most portrait artists prefer oils or acrylics, and watercolorists avoid detailed anatomy, his work stands out in both fields. Pushing boundaries with bold colors and emotional depth, each painting becomes a deeply personal and evocative experience. Through his art, Luan weaves life stories and divine connections, capturing the essence of his subjects’ souls.

Luan, a renowned portrait artist who has won 65 awards in 20 countries over the last three years, is highly sought after for custom portraits and private collections all over the world.
